THOUGHT/CRIME

Thought/Crime, conceived and directed by Charlotte Brathwaite and co-written with Ismail Khalidi, is an immersive theatrical work inspired by George Orwell’s 1984. Set within a world shaped by surveillance, censorship, and systems of control, the performance invites audiences to move through environments where language is weaponized, bodies are regulated, and intimacy becomes dangerous. As the narrative unfolds, the rigid rules governing this society begin to fracture, revealing moments of resistance, connection, and possibility.
